Cottage Avenue Dining by Chef Am

This place truly exceeded my expectations. You don’t get a lot of good western restaurants anymore but this restaurant was excellent. We are from out of town and I was craving for a steak. I wanted to try something I couldn’t get in KL and was lucky to come across Cottage Avenue. Prawn bisque is uncommon so I was super excited to try & oh my, I highly recommend it. It was rich with prawn flavour and umami goodness. It was really thoughtful of the chef to serve it with tempura on top of the garlic bread - that was a nice/creative touch. I was really wanting a second serving of this bc it was just so damn good. I tried the ribeye steak, interesting vegetable options though it was bland while the steak was very/a little too buttery for my liking. Usually I enjoy my steak without sauces but since it was too buttery, fortunately it was paired well with their sauce. The beef wellington was also tasty. Delicious pastry, mushroom duxelles and meat. Goes very well together. The sexy citrus drink was awesome, had a whole bunch of lychee and was served in a large cup so you wont be thirsty at all. I highly recommend trying the beef wellington and prawn bisque. I’m definitely coming back for the prawn bisque when I’m in town. Service wise, perfect. Food was exquisitely fast and fresh. We made a reservation on Saturday night but there wasn’t too much people. At 31st August 2024, it had just opened for about 2 months so that might be the reason + people go out of town.

The dining experience here was excellent. The service was attentive, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere felt calm and sophisticated, similar to a fine hotel. I really appreciated that the chef personally came out to greet us and asked if there was anything that could be improved. It shows genuine care for the customers. Overall, I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quality dining experience

Well first and most important this place is acceptably comfy and great lighting Halal.. alhamdulillah i ordered a ribeye - medium well with watermelon juice and mint tea. the plating is great, plenty of side dishes, and the mash potatoes is great. The steak.. Tender, juicy, soft and clearly salt paper marination.. the only one star out is because of out of the whole steak, only quarter is medium well, the rest is actually well done.. it might be overdid 30sec extra of grilling.. otherwise the rest is great.. here some pic for reference.

Good location with a lot of parking. Their food portion is so huge! If you are not hungry, you should share your meal. The food is very yummy! There is indoor and outdoor seating. price reasonable,definitely will come back again...

Very delicious and reasonably priced. Genuine Western flavour. Chef had been in Europe for 15 years before returning. Also come with selected local malay flavours.

My 3rd visit and went there twice in 2 weeks. Food was good, friendly staffs and Chef Am have 15 years in Europe. Value for money with the quality of food & portion. All my friends enjoy it and we will definitely be coming back again to try other dishes.
